Lumeni ("we," "our," or "us") is an AI-powered focus timer app for iOS developed by Orbit7.dev. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Lumeni app. By using Lumeni, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Lumeni collects the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we collect your Apple ID email address (if you choose to share it) and a unique identifier provided by Apple. We do not have access to your Apple ID password.
  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the app, including:
    • Focus session data (duration, tasks completed, timer settings)
    • Task and project information you create
    • Progress tracking data (streaks, XP, levels, badges earned)
    • Theme preferences and app settings
  • Purchase Information: If you make in-app purchases (premium themes, subscriptions), we collect transaction data through Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not store your payment card information.
  • AI Feature Data: When you use AI-powered task breakdown features, we send your project descriptions to Groq API to generate structured tasks. This data is processed by Groq and may be subject to their privacy policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Lumeni app service
  • To sync your data across devices using cloud storage
  • To process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions
  • To generate AI-powered task breakdowns when you request them
  • To track your progress, streaks, and gamification achievements
  • To improve app functionality and user experience
  • To provide customer support and respond to inquiries

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored in two locations:

  • Local Storage (SwiftData): Your app data, including tasks, projects, timer settings, and progress, is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. This ensures fast access and offline functionality.
  • Cloud Storage (Supabase): When you sign in with Apple, your data is synced to Supabase cloud database to enable cross-device synchronization. This includes your account information, tasks, projects, progress data, and preferences.

Data stored in Supabase is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.

5. Third-Party Services

Lumeni uses the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Apple (Sign in with Apple): For secure authentication. Apple processes your authentication data according to their privacy policy. We only receive a unique identifier and optional email address.
  • Supabase: For cloud database and data synchronization. Supabase processes your app data according to their privacy policy and terms of service. Data is stored securely and encrypted.
  • Groq: For AI-powered task breakdown features. When you use AI features, your project descriptions are sent to Groq API to generate structured tasks. Groq processes this data according to their privacy policy.
  • Apple StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases and subscriptions. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is not accessible to us.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies and terms of service. We encourage you to review them to understand how your data is handled.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With third-party service providers (Supabase, Groq) as necessary to provide app functionality
  • When required by law or to respond to legal processes
  • To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users
  • In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, etc.), with notice to users

7. Your Rights and Controls

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: You can view all your data within the app, including tasks, projects, progress, and settings.
  • Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through app settings or by contacting us at adarws7@gmail.com.
  • Export: You can request a copy of your data by contacting us at adarws7@gmail.com.
  • Opt-Out: You can disable cloud sync in app settings to stop data synchronization. You can also choose not to use AI features if you prefer not to share data with Groq.
  • Subscription Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings or the App Store.
  • Correction: You can update or correct your information directly within the app.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

  • Data encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
  • Secure authentication through Apple Sign In
  • Access controls and authentication for cloud database
  • Regular security assessments and updates

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
